Monday, August 7, 2017 - SOUTH MINERAL CREEK

So much rain this year!!!!  There have been some real gully washers.  It did clear for a little while late this afternoon, so we made a quick run out to "Moose Junction" and along South Mineral Creek in search of critters.  Did not see a Moose; did not see a bear, did not see a Lynx; did not see an Elk; didn't even see a marmot.

We did see a couple of ptarmigan.  Look closely; there are two:
My first ever Beaver sighting

And a red hawk in flight
(Note to self: long lens & action make for not such a good pix):
We saw two yearlings.
The first one was shy (in between the trees):
The second one not so much:
Having a stare-down with Jingles:

Just some scenery with different lighting:

Got us out of the "house" for a little while.
